Benefits of Personal Training - Letters from Clients
At age 32, I wasn't feeling very good about myself. I was trying on my
summer clothes and they no longer fit, I was larger than I had ever been.
I had enough! I joined Princeton Health and Fitness. Walking on
the treadmill for a 1/2 hour a couple times a week wasn't solving my
problem.
Sheila, one of the personal trainers and aerobics instructors, walked by me
one day and asked me to join her aerobics class. I had so much fun and
I was sore the next day and I knew this was going to be the answer to my
problems! After a few months of classes, I lost some of the weight,
but I still didn't see the results I wanted. I talked to Sheila about
losing weight and toning up, she told me lifting weights would tone my
muscles and help me lose the additional weight.
I decided to try a personal training session with Sheila. She showed
me how to use all of the equipment and weights correctly. She kept me
focused, motivated and with all her knowledge she kept everything fresh and
new. Sheila has made working out fun! I feel great after working
out with her. Sheila has been a cheerleader for me and she celebrates
my achievements. She makes me believe I can do anything whether it's
the next set or heavier weights.
I tried on my summer clothes and again, nothing fits. That's because
it is all too big! In two years I have dropped three dress sizes, 6
percent body fat and I have gained more energy, a great body and more
self-esteem!

Having a personal trainer has changed me in so many ways. Knowing I
have an appointment set up has kept me motivated. Listening to my
personal trainer and learning from her has taught me how to use machines and
weights correctly. I believe using the weights correctly is very
important, otherwise you end up working out for an hour and never see the
results. With Sheila, my personal trainer, I saw results almost
immediately. In a three month period I lost 15 pounds and over 5% body
fat with not strict diet. I continue to work out with Sheila twice a
week because the results I continue to see I know I couldn't have achieved
on my own right away. I feel more confident in clothing I would never
have worn before to the gym. Knowing that I am going to continue with
the training helps me to see that I can make a life change by changing my
body!
